Public funds available for Sarawak heritage projects

At the occasion of the handing over of the restored Fort Margherita, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture deputy secretary general mentioned that besides funds allocated for Sarawak tourism products, RM42.31 million have been allocated for heritage projects nationwide. “Of the allocation, only RM2.3 million has been spent so far. Therefore, Sarawak can apply for the fund if there are other historical sites or buildings that need to be conserved,” he said”.
